Still Hope to Compete in St. Anton
von Christiane Mitterwallner

Hello dear fans,
I want to give you a report about my last two races.

My Race in Maribor

In Maribor (on 5th January) I was 22th after the first run of giant slalom and I knew that I had to be aggressive to advance in the ranking. I succeeded, however, after the time taking, where I had best time, I dropped off. In the last two races before the St. Anton World Championships I will try to achieve good results and qualify for the Austrian team.

Home Game in Haus

In Haus at the Kaibling mountain I did both training runs to get used to the course and prepare for the super-G at 13th January. As I live only 15 minutes apart from the course (Pichl/Mandling), I could stay at home over night, which is not bad. At Saturday I started number 36 and could unfortunately not catch up among the top 30.

Race Analysis

When I watched my run on video I had to admit that I was skiing quite insecure. Anyway, I consider it a good ‚training unit’ for the giant slalom. In this week I will compete in two European Cup races in Switzerland to prepare for the next giant slalom in Cortina at 21th January. I hope to get a better result that last time and greet all of you with a…

…“Ski Heil“!

Yours,

Christiane Mitterwallner
