Happy about 10th Place von Christiane Mitterwallner
Hi dear fans,
as you surely have noticed the World Cup is back in Europe again and three races are over yet.
A brief view back to America:
My start in Lake Louise in super-G was not really a success. I could not reach the top 30 to get some points. Therefore I cancelled the super-G in Val dŽIsere/France, to relax and prepare for the giant in Sestriere. Finally I had a result that made me happy. I managed to do two equal runs and so I reached 10th place.
It was not an easy run, though, for it was very slippy/icy and steep at the second half of the course. In my view it were two rather average runs. As I was quite insecure concerning the lunging, I only wanted to reach the finish somehow. Thank god I succeeded.
I could not have been happier if I had won the race.
Now I have a good basis for the races to come and surely this makes me start the next runs more confident, which might be crucial in a competition.
Until the next World Cup giant slalom, which is going to take place with a 90% likelyhood in Sestiere again, I am going to run two Europeen Cup giants in Chamonix to gain even more confidence.
I will keep you informed, so drop in on this site again to get the latest news.
Yours,
Christiane Mitterwallner
